During the COVID-19 pandemic, criminals built technical workarounds and exploited security gaps to steal billions of dollars of government relief funds designated for individuals whose livelihoods were impacted by the pandemic. This talk discusses the key tactics and techniques used by these criminal actors, and identifies possible mitigations, to help anticipate and counter future fraudulent activities.
