Paycom
Director of Government and Community Affairs
As Director of Government and Community Affairs for Paycom, AJ Griffin manages interactions between one of the nation’s fastest growing technology companies, government officials and community groups across the country. AJ served six years in the Oklahoma Senate, where she was a member of senate leadership and gained recognition for improving policy around juvenile justice, child welfare, healthcare, disabilities and substance abuse. Prior to her election, she was a nonprofit executive with a background in education and the hospitality industry. She is a proud graduate of Oklahoma State University (OSU) and earned her master’s degree in education from the University of Central Oklahoma. AJ is currently pursuing a doctorate from Baylor University.

A self-identified “policy wonk,” AJ uses her civic activities to influence policy as a member of the board of directors and policy committee chair for the Oklahoma Institute for Child Advocacy and the Oklahoma Center for Nonprofits. Additionally, she serves on the boards of Human Rights for Kids, Oklahoma Partnership for School Readiness Foundation, Oklahoma City Public Schools Foundation, Miasha Project, the advisory board for Prenatal-to-3 Policy Impact Center at Vanderbilt University, and was appointed by Governor Stitt to chair the Developmental Disabilities Council of Oklahoma. AJ is a member of SALTT Class 8, OKC Rotary Club 29, Leadership Oklahoma Class 34 and the Alumni Advisory Board for Spears School of Business at OSU.

AJ and her husband of 29 years, Trey, both love traveling and all things OSU. They share those loves with their daughters, Alex, a first-year law student at the University of Missouri, and Reagan, a junior at OSU.
