Daisha has a varied background in the IT field. Her journey began in technical support for a global technology company where she assisted customers with their sound and video cards, mp3 and video media players, web cameras, and modems. Throughout her years, her career portfolio has grown to include Data Center Operations, Mainframe Production Services, Oracle Database Administration, Security and Compliance, and Risk Management, where she is today. She’s a Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA) and Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP). Her current team has a vision to set the bar for IT risk management functions in higher education. Daisha’s driven to define decision making processes, as she believes decisive moments are where risk management must live. She’s a strategic thinker and passionate about raising every technology user’s level of awareness regarding cybersecurity and risk management. She’s always open to partnerships or quests in pursuit of that goal. She recently started her own Info Sec consulting business with a partner who specializes in home automation security.
